AI SEO Checklist: Getting Cited by AI Overviews, ChatGPT & Perplexity

AI answers are assembled from retrieved passages and cite their sources — being one of those sources is the new position #1. This checklist covers the full stack: technical access, extractable content, citable substance, off-site consensus, and the audit that measures it. Backed by controlled research, not vendor hype.

1. Technical Access

A page that can’t be retrieved can’t be cited.
